Your choices. Your PC.

Choose your apps here, then run your script on your Windows PC.

What this website knows

Only the Microsoft community catalog and your selections. It cannot inspect installed apps, execute WinGet, or know whether an installation succeeded. Favorites and selected package IDs are saved in this browser. No account, analytics, remote agent, or cloud profile is used.

How scripts work

Download or copy your script, review it, and run it in Windows PowerShell 5.1 or PowerShell 7 on your Windows PC. Install selected uses exact IDs, the winget source, and --no-upgrade. Update selected uses upgrade and does not install missing apps. Each app can override the default action. Update-all is intentionally not included.

WinGet and Windows are checked first. Missing prerequisites stop the script and link to official setup instructions. Agreement prompts stay enabled by default. Silent installation and automatic agreement acceptance are separate opt-ins. WinGet can request elevation through its normal prompts; the script does not elevate itself, change execution policy, bypass security, or request a reboot.

Operations run sequentially. Each exit code is captured immediately. A local JSON results log is saved under %LOCALAPPDATA%\WingetPalette. The website never receives that log or an installed-app inventory. Cancellation stops subsequent apps even with continue-on-error. An interrupted host or unexpected reboot can prevent remaining results from being recorded.

Catalog freshness and categories

The server builds a complete index from a pinned snapshot of microsoft/winget-pkgs. The last successful refresh time is displayed in navigation. A failed refresh leaves the previous index available. Categories are browsing aids derived from manifest tags, not Microsoft classifications. Categories and All apps browse the full catalog.

How Featured apps are chosen

Featured contains 100 handpicked apps, researched using Ninite’s app catalog and winstall’s popular-app selection, plus official product sites, reviewed October 7, 2026. The collection puts everyday apps first, followed by developer and hardware tools. Specialist alternatives such as foobar2000, AIMP, PotPlayer, and XnView remain available in All apps. It is an editorial selection, not a measured popularity ranking. One standard package per product is preferred; preview builds, runtimes, SDKs, and duplicate release variants stay in the full catalog.

Search stays within your current view. Use Search all apps to keep your query and explore the complete catalog. Selections and favorites work across both views. Versions, descriptions, and availability still come from the real catalog; Featured does not replace or remove any packages.

Catalog version is selected by deterministic numeric-aware text ordering within each package ID. Unusual vendor version formats can sort differently from WinGet. Scripts do not pin this display version: WinGet resolves the applicable version, architecture, and installer on your PC. A package can also be removed from the live WinGet source after an index refresh.

Icons and sources

Bundled icons come from svgl.app and dashboardicons.com. Unknown or unavailable icons show initials immediately. Names and logos belong to their respective owners; no endorsement is implied.
